Introduction to Drop Spindling

Have you always wanted to spin your own yarn? In this introductory workshop, we’ll teach you how using the wonderful drop spindle, one of humanity’s oldest textile tools! Every participant will receive their own drop spindle and some super soft Malabrigo roving to practice on. We will cover fiber preparation, the park and draft technique of spinning, as well as the full process from fiber to finished spun single. As a bonus, you’ll also learn some fun ways you can turn your wool yarn scraps into new yarn! Includes drop spindle, fiber, and we’ll have additional roving available for sale.
