Introduction to Sock Knitting

In this 90 minute workshop, we will cover the ‘anatomy’ of socks, discuss types of sock construction and appropriate yarn choices, and recommend good beginner sock patterns. We’ll also answer any sock related questions, and offer tips and hints that we have found, to make sock knitting more enjoyable for you.

The sock(s) we will be demonstrating with is a DK weight sock, worked on US3 (3.25mm) needles so if you would like to bring or purchase that size needle and yarn and follow along, we encourage you to do that. The class itself is a discussion/demonstration class and additional purchase is not required.

This is an intermediate level class, so participants must already know how to cast on, knit, purl, work small circumference in the round and bind off.
