Soapmaking 101 Workshop

Join us at Birdhouse Yarns for this soapmaking workshop with guest instructor Tracy Conklin! Tracy is a professional savonnier (soapmaker) and she will guide participants through the soap-making process. Bring all of your soap-related questions for Tracy.
Chose your favorite color of worsted weight Coastal Cotton, and we will provider printed patterns for both knitted and crocheted options for making facecloths, scrubbies or soap saver bags. If there is any time while your soap is setting in the mold, you may be able to cast on so bring a hook or needles in your preferred size for worsted weight cotton.
At the conclusion of the workshop, you'll have ONE POUND of soap to take home (five round bars, each 3.25" in diameter) as well yarn for your first set of cloths or scrubbies. This is a great way to treat yourself with luxurious handmade soap and accessories, or provide inspiration for beautiful handmade gifts you can gift to others.

Allergy/sensitivity notification: Soap base utilizes olive oil, coconut oil and castor oil.

| Skill Details: | Beginner level knit OR crochet skills needed for the washcloth/scrubbie portion of the workshop, but everyone is welcome to attend. |
